Standardised PSD2 & Open Banking Functions Dictionary

A dictionary of common functions identified by OBE Europe, from their analysis of APIs being implemented by Europe banks to provide TPPs with technical access to customer accounts as part of PSD2.

This document provides a dictionary of the common functions that have been identified by Open Banking Exchange (OBE) Europe, from their analysis of the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) being implemented by banks across Europe to provide Third Party Providers (TPPs) with technical access to their customer accounts as part of the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2).

This dictionary allows members of the financial industry to identify any uniquely named function or method endpoint against its’ OBE Function Name, so that there is a common understanding of the purpose of any given function.

This document is aimed at the following audiences:

  • Account Servicing Payment Services Providers (ASPSPs)
  • National Competent Authorities (NCAs)
  • Third Party Providers (TPPs)
